Yeah the parts I've been looking at are twice as powerful as what I wanted a few years back and half the price, tech is really stepping up. Like a 4gb stick of ddr3 ram is $35, and a 600 watt power supply is $50, and the processor i want is around $60. Should hopefully get $200 this week from my parents as their christmas gift.

Dope. Theres even word that ddr4 is coming next year. Whats the first thing you're doing with your desktop back?

installing steam and playing the games I've been wanting to play but was never able to on my laptop. First game i play depends how i feel at the time, will probably be one of my humble indie bundle games or maybe civ5. Also minecraft, it was somewhat playable on my laptop when a friend bought it for me, but i got fucked over by lag spikes on my craptop and it eventually became unplayable. I'm excited to get back into minecraft and build some sick shit.

Speaking of black friday/cyber monday tho a lot of the sale prices on components have been pretty weak. Some things were actually better priced before the deals started. I had to switch my foxus from buying an am3+ motherboard/processor to an fm2. It's no biggie though since the fm2 processor i'm looking at is actually faster, and the motherboard is only slightly less capable.

Can you make a video of you putting your pc together?
