I haven't followed superman besides from the animated series a handful of episodes but to be fair, I think his mourning is him being the last of the kryptonians. Or at least that's the basic premise.

I hope the ps4 doesn't adopt some of these practices. If so it will be the beginning of a shift from typical consumer-provider relations. I can only hope gamers reject these overstep.

Batman doesn't have much of a personality. He's always the serious, smart guy we have seen over in many novels and his lack of personality makes him the boring reserved guy I my self am. We almost never see any personal turmoil from him, and when we do it usually comes from something caused by the Joker...
Superman is more complex, sure he had earthling parents but he never manages to fit in. First of all, he's doomed to be alone cause:
1. He is immortal.
2. Genetics make it impossible for him to actually conceive a child with Lois Lane (Some story lines challenge this)
Not to mention he suffers from struggling to do the right thing. He can literally rule as a God yet he chooses restraint. He lives in constant fear of hurting innocents since he lives in a "World made of cardboard" (see his speech)

DC has some great characters. I love Flash, Martin Manhunter, Doom Patrol and the criminally underrated Legion of SuperHeros.
