It's true with what facts show......buuuuut I have noticed so many R/B/Y fans coming back to the series after XY were announced and released.  With more Pokenews otw who knows how sales will be effected.  

Besides, America used to milk promos out for Pokemon stuff.  Now all we get are a few TCG commercials and not so great dubs of the anime and that's about it.

There used to be so many commercials for anything pokemon related in the late 90's and early 2000's

I'm pretty sure if Nintendo had a TV show as good as Pokemon origins on cartoon network the sales of the game would sky rocket, the problem is by the time pokemon started as a game, also the anime started and it helped tremendously in making the game known and popular

since Ash has gotten nowhere besides training the possibly most powerful pikachu ever I doubt anybody feels any affection for him as a character, I'd even say he is a detracting factor for the franchise because he sells the idea even if you stick to the game for ages you'll get nowhere, whilst Red promotes the opposite idea, granted that you CAN catch them all, even legendary pokemon and fill up the pokedex completely, you CAN defeat the elite and become pokemon champion

so yeah Nintendo should realize this and I want to believe pokemon origins helped them realize it

if they are smart this is the concept they will be expanding on with future installments of the anime which I'm pretty sure helped sell the other games so well

Yeah Origins looks sick, but the current Pokemon dub is shit.

I was talking about pokemon, if anything having some consoles fail like what happened to the N64 means both we will get both the consoles and the games real cheap in due time and Nintendo will put great effort in their 1st party game

if having the wiiu leaving Nintendo near bankrupt means I can have another Zelda at the same level or superior to Ocarina of Time then fuck yeah, let the wiiu burn in hell

also mario kart 64, Golden eye fuck yeah, bring it on


on the other hand, Nintendo has survived off their handhelds, so they are rich enough to survive this gen and put greater efforts on the next, or half the next like they did with this one

Considering the PS4 sold 1/4th of what they have sold since launch in a single day, plus the fact that only 1% of gamers are planning on buying one this holiday season, yes, the wii u needs saving.

It still sells, they still make games for it, still plan to make games for it, people still want it. Guess that proves it doesn't need saving. Just cause it's not selling as well as a system JUST released doesn't mean they're gonna drop it if sales don't rise. Yeah yeah, sure the PS4 did more sales than the WiiU has in a single day.....doesn't mean it sucks or will fail. the only thing that will ever prove that is if they drop the WiiU altogether...which won't happen for years to come. So sit back, relax and enjoy the wait (which it seems you don't care about Nintendo anyway so why bother the rant on it?)

actually I'm considering getting a wiiu before I get a ps4, main reason is the VC and zelda games

also since it is compatible with wii games I even more interested

ps4 will interest me enough after the launch of Destiny, but so far, no interest in sony

PS4 only interests me for KH4 and possibly something else...(can't remember the name).

But, surveys show people DON'T want it... And yes, if sales don't rise they will drop it, just like Sega had to get out of the console business when the Dreamcast failed.

every console has good points and bad.  I.E: they don't start selling their top rated games at launch or a couple months after.  It takes time...look at how long it took for them to start a 3DS Pokemon game.  Now, alongside with the 2DS sale the same day, sales for the game and systems skyrocket in a single day.  All it takes is one game and deal like that.
