hey guys im looking for a laptop that can run several softwares from word processors to audio editing to playing games (total war, rts etc.). 500GB+ hard drive (can one swap out hard drives on laptops?), good battery life, long life span.

what should i be looking for?

More RAM the better is one bit of advice. For my next system I plan on getting at LEAST 32gb RAM and if it's a PC not a laptop maybe some liquid cooling systems. I plan on going full out with recordings and gaming if I get a fully prepped gaming computer. Recordings of podcasts, gaming, reviews, etc....yet I myself lack the knowledge. Might see if I can get my grandfather to help me build one since he knows all about how to build and rebuild stuff like that.

not if I get to what I have planned.  Playing games and editing and uploading (especially in good quality) will take a lot of power.  More power will last longer as if I try to push it from the start without enough power...it'll kill off the computer much faster.
