When I was five my dad gave me a children's encyclopedia. It was my first read. By that age I had already memorized the nine planets (sorry Pluto) in order of distance and size. Not to mention most of Saturn and jupiter's moons. By age 6 I knew more about space than I knew about Jesus and I've loved every part of space since then. The only reason I didn't study astrophysics or become an astronomer is because my country lacks those areas and I don't have the money to study abroad. Never less I am constantly keeping up with new discoveries and missions to space and most of the things you've posted I've known for years.

I'm just saying you're wasting your energy posting the budget thing here almost everyday, we are not congressmen.

Sorry, it just always seems like no one gives a fuck about any of this. People just ignore it or get pissed off about it and tell me to stop. What the fuck can I do though? This is bullshit, the world's all fucked up, and the money it takes to run for office is unattainable in this country without practically selling your soul to a corporate sponsor. The case of David Seaman running for a congressional seat is a good example of this, and all the money it takes to run for president and all the corporate sponsors various politicians have and the lobbies that hold influence over their decisions.

It's pretty much all run by corrupt bastards here, there's not much hope of contacting them and speaking sense to them. The best I can hope for is this information becomes such common knowledge that they can no longer deny it, but that is a silly hopeful unrealistic dream. No space program. There are some astronomical observatories but they are extremely mediocre. To actually have a good education in terms of astrophysics or general astronomy you might as well study in Europe, Russia or the US. Maybe China and India look like a viable option. We'd love to spend more on space exploration but we have a 60 year old war fueled by the world's faux war on drugs.

As for funding in education and space, it's only gonna kick off once they find a profitable resource either on another planet or asteroid.

Well we already know the profitable resources are there, the government just doesn't want to invest (risk) any money in getting there. The amount of money it takes to actually do that is unknown, and could even be astronomical, so just a few private companies have started investing in planning to actually do something. The people running our country live mostly for the now, and don't give a fuck about the future for the most part.

Once we finally get off our asses though things could be really great. Will have to wait and see if anything happens though.

Uhhhhh, I download some songs too (western songs to go with reading the Dark Tower series, fuck yeah). It's hard to find individual songs I want via torrents (mostly it's full albums, discographies or the songs just ain't there) though, so I usually just rip music straight off youtube.

I download some movies and shows too. It's hard playing high quality video files on my computer though since it's ass, so I prefer renting. I've started going to the library in the last few months, then I just got netflix from my sis's BF so I rarely have to pirate shows or movies anymore. I still will pirate if I got no luck finding something anywhere else though.

Also if I really like a movie or show I'll get the bluray so I can watch it in 1080p. I have an option to rent blurays at Hastings, but usually if a movie is good enough that I want to watch it via bluray it's good enough that I want to buy it so I can rewatch it again. Blurays aren't that expensive either, I recently saw a bin at Walmart full of blurays for $7 each. Some of them were pretty good too, like that Batman Beyond movie. I wanted to get it too, but I have to save up money for now.
