There no point in resisting AC series, Ubisoft said that they are going to keep making them every year until sale start to take a drop. I blame gamers that don't support new ip. Devs are always going to negate risk by making something gamers are comfortable with. I.E Sony... Ps4 could of launch with New i.Ps like Ps3 did but instead they went with something that people will recognize KZ ShadowFall and possibly infamous.

CyberPunk,Sleeping Dog, Remember me, and Last of Us. Some of these game going to prove to be amazing or adequate and they will be made in series.

Well the problem with the whole milking games comes from gamer demand. There are a lot of people that still love AC series to the core. It seems that many gamers have no pleasing, first they argue that developers take a damn long time to release a game and then you have the gamers that are complaining because they're releasing the games pretty damn quick.

The other problem is that developers have no desire to explore much and are untalented on creating be IPs. They will rather squeeze the tits of every gamer that takes the garbage they produce until they milk them dry.

That's what the global entertainment industry does on a regular basis. That's why MTV, History channel and the Discovery channel keep producing garbage television. Though that is expected to from MTV. The problem is the other two channels, only 5% of their shows are actually educational. The major problem relies on the desire of stupid peoples desire for this type of garbage.
