Yeah Obito can't be Tobi (unless there's a time travel jutsu), Kishi just likes messing with people.

The only certain thing about Tobi, he's from Konoha and he's obviously an Uchiha... Did we ever get any info on Minato's team mates when he was under Jiraiya

just look at him. all serious and depressed. obviously an uchiha

His featureless eyes could indicate he's a Hyuga but it looks like they are bluish in the colored pic

What if Tobi isn't a Uchiha? It seems possible that he could of just taken his Sharingan eye from a Uchiha , and he could of obtained his knowledge of the Uchiha clan through infiltration. He's lied about being Madara, he could be lying about being a Uchiha too.

Why would he hide one of his eyes if both eyes had the power of the Sharingan? It would be like nerfing himself, he's obviously been hiding something with his mask up till the point that he obtained a Rinnegan eye.
