Well it's majority rules, and I'm sure more people watch shit like annoying orange and fred than excellent shows like Young Justice. Look at the Discovery, History, and G4 channels for example. I bet more people are watching the shitty shows on those channels than the good ones that used to air. MTV and Disney Channel are also good examples of this.
The more viewers a show gets the more ad revenue the company running the television station receives. Thus why so many networks choose to sell out and profit instead of retaining great shows and their own unique identity. This will continue to happen to every channel until there is literally nothing good on TV, every network that doesn't show the stupid shit people like will become bankrupt or move on to publishing good programming online.
TV and the way it's run is slowly becoming too old, archaic, and completely obsolete in a modern society with modern technology. Eventually it will die out and people will simply use services like Netflix, Hulu, and more online services which have even started to publish their own quality programming.
