ps3 HDD finally arrived (took longer than it should've). Now just to find an external to save everything and figure out how to get it done once again. Make sure I don't miss any steps. I'm pretty sure it's just:
-Back up current data on an external hdd
-Turn off ps3 completely and unplug it completely
-Take of the side cover
-Unscrew the middle blue screw
-Lift the metal thing in the middle and shift it over and pull it out
-Unscrew the four screws around it
-Replace that hdd with new one
-Repeat the steps in reverse
-Once it's set back and plugged in format the HDD
-Go back to back up data and hit restore instead and choose the file
I miss anything?

that's all I remember doing (other than struggling and having to delete a bunch of stuff >.>).

No, an error popped up and it wouldn't copy anything over. Had to delete games/dlc till it did. That's why I said you might have to redwl everything.
