Yes... Comets have been subject of much speculations... Like if they're the ones responsible for water on Earth and other places and if they can sustain basic forms of protein life explaining the possibility that life on earth originated elsewhere or that pieces of earth that have been expelled from the planet due to major impact events in the pasts could have taken lifeforms to other regions of the universe.
